Technician Requirements

 
In order to use this service, you must be a CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN and:
be actively employed by an Authorized Distributor
have signed an returned the Software Update Download Addendum
Print a copy of the Addendum (PDF format, download_addendum.pdf, 11.0KB)
be a registered user on Hitel's web site
An Authorized Distributor must have signed and returned the Software Update Download Addendum in the name of the Distributor.
The Distributor must have a signed Authorized Distributor Agreement in effect.
Note:  An addendum must be received by Hitel in both the Distributor Company name and from each Technician using the service. A copy of this form for the distributor will be included in the 2003 Authorized Distributor Agreement.

All Software Update Download Addendums should be sent to:

Technicians may become Registered Users by completing the online registration form located on the Hitel web site, www.hitel.com/. Hitel will issue User IDs and Passwords after verifying that the requesting technician is certified and employed by an Authorized Distributor.  
 
Hitel's MAXimilian 2.0 CMAT Emulation Software is required for applying software updates. This software runs on a co-located PC connected to the HCX5000/HCX5000i CMAT port (or RMAT port via dial-up connection.). You can order MAXimilian 2.0 (p/n 106460) from Hitel Sales Administration. The previous release of this software (Release 1.5) cannot be used for applying software updates.
 
 

Distributor Requirements

 
The Software Update Download Addendum will be added to your current Authorized Distributor Agreement and become part of the 2002 Authorized Distributor Agreement. You must have a signed Authorized Distributor Agreement in order to use this service. Hitel allows registered users to access the downloadable software updates after verifying that a signed Software Update Download Agreement is on file.
 
As noted in the Software Update Download Agreement, it is your responsibility to:
 
Sign and return the attached agreement.
Keep your systems updated to the current software level.
Notify Hitel of every site to which you apply software updates. 
Notify Hitel of the update level for each site.
 
You must provide this notification within twenty-four (24) hours of updating the software at each site. Notification allows the following:
 
You to maintain your right to access downloads.
Hitel to quickly remedy any problems discovered with an update.
 
These changes improve your ability to provide timely and quality service to your HCX5000/HCX5000i customers.
